Focus on Forklift Safety
Forklift-related injuries can be catastrophic and a costly contributor to workers’ compensation costs. According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, 70% of accidents involving forklifts can be prevented with safety measures.
National Forklift Safety Day on June 11 is a great time to raise awareness of safe operating procedures for forklifts, like wearing a seat belt, securing the load, watching where driving or using a spotter, and only operating a forklift if you’re properly trained and certified.
